| The Door
of Faith Orphanage is a non-profit refuge for underprivileged
Mexican children. They are located in a rustic canyon of Northern
Baja California, Mexico, an hour south of San Diego. They currently
care for over 90 children, and have several outreach programs to
the dozen smaller nearby orphanages. |
 |
They receive no government assistance and depend on
the generosity of people who desire to help the children of Mexico.
With an annual budget of around 100,000 $US, they provide for a
family of over 100 (including about 20 full-time staff). That comes
to clothing, feeding, teaching, and raising a child for under $100
per month, some with significant medical needs.
When you visit the orphanage you will be amazed at the ministry
that has been built and the work that is done here. Along with caring
for the children, their home has become a place where many young
adults from the US come to experience international missions work
for the first time. The campground houses youth groups assisting
Door of Faith in their efforts to remodel the facilities and care
for the children. |
